A Nice Surprise and More

Well started teaching my Kinder Intensive Class today-there are going to be three students as of Monday but today there were only two. The student starting on Monday has just started at our school recently and speaks very little English but does understand and read quite a bit. He is really struggling in his class and so it is up to me and my Intenisve Class to help him improve as much as possible. We will be doing serious amounts of phonics.
Today I had my Elementary Phonics Class which is 3 really bright, sweet, kids and they are doing great. Then had my principal's two little girls for 3 hours to work on reading skills.
They are two very, sweet, smart little girls and we had the best time making easy to read books-that they could then read over and over to me. It was a blast and time flew by and next thing I knew it was noon and time to go home.
My principal and boss-Sunny-thanked me over and over for helping out by agreeing to tutor her girls and then handed me an envelope with money. She had told me in advance how much I would get paid for teaching the Kinder Intensive Class but did not think I would get paid until August for it.
I was so suprised and happy to get paid in advance-I couldn't believe it. I love my boss-she totally rocks. It is protcol with all schools that English teachers here in Korea get paid once a month and most places are on the 10th.
So I got paid July 10th but only for my training days for June and was not due to get paid again until August 10th so this was a very nice surprise.
So got paid and had rest of the day free to do whatever I liked. I got on the metro and thought about going to the area by the Galleria as a co-worker told me about a Health Store near there I want to check out but headed home.
I will have plently of time for exploring next week as I will only work until noon everyday.
