First Day Teaching in Korea

Well today was my first full day teaching in Korea.
My two little girls in my Kinder class are so sweet and smart too and really work well with eachother. We had so much fun today. This month's theme is food and this week's theme is vegetables so today the kids tried a bunch of different raw veggies-carrots, potato, raddish, pepper and then using the raddish as a base made happy faces with the veggies. My kids added ears and hair as well as faces-so very creative and cute.
My Elementary Class did great as well -8 very bright kids and they work very hard-we are concentrating mainly on phonics right now.
My after Kinder class goes to Korean Kinder during the day but knows very little English. 4 very adorable and sweet kids who responded very well to ABC Flash Cards. Two of the kids were a little scared and shy and took them awhile to warm up enough to come in the class but think they did Amazing for the first day.
My boss was full of praise for me and that made me feel so good.
I feel as if I am right where God wants me-right where I need to be.
Today has also made me miss my Mom so much would love to call her or email her all about the kids in Korea and my day-makes me a little sad that I can't. I miss her so much-she was a wonderful teacher, mom and mentor.
Well bed calls as another day of teaching tomorrow awaits and a staff dinner in my honor tomorrow evening.
