Amazing Weekend

Friday I went to Cheonan on the KTX to spend the weekend with my friend Trina. On Saturday we went Seoul as the lead singer of a popular Korean band called SS501 was going to be making an apperance at a Chicken Resturant in Seoul because of a fan contest. My friend Trina loves that band and especially the leader of the group so she was hoping to catch a glimpse of him.


I ofcourse was recruited to go because of my keen stalking skills perfected from many years of tracking NKOTB!!


Well Trina,Lindsey and I arrived at the Chicken Resturant about 4 hours before the event was to begin so we hung out at the nearby Starbucks while we waited for some more friends of Trina's to arrive.


After awhile we met some of the contest winners and they told us that the whole SS501 group would be at a local department store later in the afternoon for a fan signing.


We met all kinds of cool people while waiting -including an exchange student from China, and some really sweet Korean American students who were currently studying in Seoul.



After waiting for about 4 hours the leader of SS501 showed up and my friend was only about a foot or so away from him. Ashley (another friend of Trina's) and I left the Chicken Resturant and headed to the department store to scope things out whioe the rest of our friends old and new stayed there hoping to get a glimpse of the Leader of SS5o1 when he left.

Well we found out you had to have a special ticket to get an autograph but that we could stay in the room where the signing was without a ticket so we called our other friends and told them to head over and we saved them spots. While waiting for the autograph signing to start we met more new friends.

After the Autograph Signing was over SS501 came to the back of the room where the fans who did not have tickets were so they could wave hello etc. but they had to be rushed out of the room as the fans were crazy and not listening to security. We did get to be right next to all 5 members as they were rushed by and let me say they are some very cute boys.

One of our friends Jolie said I love you and one of the members smiled at her. After SS501 left the room and the fans were all starting to clear out a security guard walked up and offered us some free posters.

The security at this event reminded me of the CIA-very nice looking Korean men in black suits with colorful ties and ear pieces etc. Many of the security guys were extremely hot!!! And I do mean hot-WOW!!!!!

After the event was over we went to Outback for dinner and then caught the bus back to Cheonan.
When we got back to Cheonan we went to the Karoke Room again and I rocked several songs including Stay the Same and Bye Bye Bye!!! Then Trina and I went back to her apartment and watched SS501 videos.

Today I went to Church with her at The Korean Nazarene University-I really like her church and really identified with today's sermon about God being Startegic. It was all about how God has perfect timing even though we sometimes get impatient and think God does not work fast enough in our lives.

I feel so blessed to have this fresh start-new beginnng in Korea and to be growing,learning and changing each day. Some new expereinces are frightening,some ok, some good, some great, some bad, some AMAZING but what and adventure it has been already and it has only been a little over two weeks.
