I started teaching last Wednesday so it has offically been a week now. My Kinder kids are so sweet and we have such a great time together. In the morning as part of Sharing Time-we sing the ABC song, Days of the week etc. and my students have been listening but not singing and today they finally sang the songs-I was overjoyed. They were excited and happy and asked if we could sing them again-YAY!!!
Today we did cooking and this week's theme is Grains as the theme for the month of July is Food. So today we made BLT's-we discussed what food group each item came from and what BLT means and the steps for making one.
The kids really liked them and wanted more-and some had never had American Style Bacon but really liked it.
My Elementary Kids are doing great as well and are a great bunch of kids-ofcourse I have one or two in that class that think I am mean because they were off task or bothering others and I had to give them what the kids call The Angry Teacher Face.
My after Kinder gets seem to be getting used to things but they go to Korean Kinder all day and then come to After Kinder so it makes for a long day for them.
In Korean it is very typical for kids to go to Public School during the day and then go to Private English classes, music classes, dance,takwando etc.
