Is it really Friday???

On Friday all day I was like is it really Friday??? i could not believe it was already Friday-the week seem to fly by.
I think Friday went the fastest of any day this week but it was a great day.
Friday is Show and Tell Day and the kids usually bring in something that has to do with what we are studying. This week it was Grains. Since I don't have many kids in my Kinder Class my Principal gaveme samples of several grains from the school kitchen.
We have different kinds of rice, pasta etc.
The kids were able to use their 5 senses to learn about the grains and it is such a great hands on way to learn especially for ESL students learning English.
We looked at all the grains, touched them, the kids tasted them, smelled them, we talked the colors, textures etc.
We also had lots of fun reading stories, singing songs and doing art activities.
Everyday the school serves snacks and lunch for the kids and they make some great stuff. The kitchen at the school since we are renting space in a Commerical Building does not have a stove or oven. They have a microwave, toaster, electric skillet, eletric tea pot, rice cooker and crockpot for soup etc. The teachers are able to try and eat anything that is served to the kids.
Friday's lunch was very yummy Fried Rice and seasoned seaweed. It was my first time trying seaweed and I love it. It was so yummy.
At the end of the day my principal told me her husband would drive me and the other teachers home in the school van as he had some chairs to drop off to my apartment to go with my kitchen table-YAY!!!!!
It was a Great Week.
