I had to go into work for a few hours and teach my Elementary Class as in two weeks there will be no regular Elementary Classes for 7 days. So yesterday we were holding sessions form 9:30-12:30 and then 2:00-5:00 but my After Kinder did not have to come in so I only had to work until 12:30.
Time seemed to go really go fast-we worked mainly on Phonics and before I knew it was 12:30.
Since we had to come in and work on Saturday my Principal and Vice Principal took everyone out to lunch.
We went to this very cool place close to school where you sit on the floor on pillows and there is a low table with big pans where the food is cooked at. We had yummy, spicy chicken with cabbage and onions, rice cakes etc. and you take it and wrap it in lettuce.
It was so good and have been really wanting to go to a place where you eat on the floor-had heard about them but did not want to go by mself-it is so much fun with a group.
Thanks to my sister who is amazing with chopsticks I do pretty good with chopsticks. Well one of the Korean teachers asked for forks for all of us Americans and proud to say we did not use them-we all used our chopsticks.
Everyone commented and was impressed with my chopsticks skills and my willingness to try Korean food.
I feel as a visitor to this country I should be more than willing and open to this country and culture and what it has to offer.
After lunch I went exploring on the metro and finally found the closest Starbucks-YAY!!!
Also went and did some underground shopping and then went to Home Plus and did some grocery shopping.
Home Plus is so big but am actually getting used to the store and am starting to remember where things are-YAY!!
So I had a really great Saturday and hope all of you did too.
