The bathroom sink

Ok for almost a week now my bathroom sink has been filling up very quickly when I was my hands, face and brush my teeth etc. and then taking forever to drain. There is a matience man in my building but ofcourse he speaks only Korean and is usually not around when I leave in the morning and is gone by the time I get back. So it became apparent to me this weekend that I was going to have to say something to my boss and she could arrange for the matience man to take a look at the sink.
Well last night I went to brush my teeth before bed and the water was in the sink still and it had been about two hours since I last been in the bathroom. I decided to investigate this situation myself to see if I could fix it.
When I first arrived to my apartment my boss had made sure that certain important items such as toilet paper, dish soap, tooth paste and soap for the bathroom was already there. The soap in the bathroom is bar soap which is fine for handwshing but prefer liquid soap but decided I would use all the bar soap before trying to find liquid soap if I even could.
Sometimes the bar soap breaks up pretty bad and I wondered if maybe there were some little bits and pieces in the drain that had not gone down or dissolved and were blocking the drain and causing the problem.
I tried to remove the stopper in the sink but didn't work but was able to see that there was some bits of soap stuck in there. So I figured I needed something to get them out. I have several packages of the wooden disposable chopsticks in my apartment that were also here when I arrived. I never use them as I have a nice pair of metal ones I prefer to use.
So I opened a set up and pulled them apart and proceeded to stick one in the sink and poke around and voila soap chunks easily removed in just a few minutes and water is now draining like it should.
Problem solved and I figured it out all by myself so that makes me very happy.
